Even a Small Kitchen Can Be Beautified with Darker Cabinet Colors
So often when we consult with our clients, we find they are held up by the misconception that they can only choose shades of white to update the cabinets in a small kitchen. Well, we are happy to say this is not so! If darker shades are what you find appealing, a gray tone like this custom color our client loved will work beautifully to update, freshen and bring a more sophisticated air to your space without the cost or time investment of a full renovation.
Still not convinced? Take look at how far this kitchen has come in the before and after below. Then call us at 443.897.7541 to schedule a your own cabinet refinishing consultation.

Restyling the Sunroom at Rockfield Manor
At long last and as promised, we'll be chronicling the interior paint makeover we recently completed at the illustrious county jewel, Rockfield Manor. Not only has this historic home, built in 1920 by Charles and Adele McComas, become a treasured event venue for the community of Bel Air, it was aptly voted the Best Special Events Venue in the 2023 Best of Harford edition of Harford Magazine.
Benny and I were so proud to once again be entrusted with completing the latest updates to Rockfield Manor (we previously painted the interior and parts of the exterior in 2016 and 2017)-- not only because it is so treasured by the community but also because it has played such an important part in both our professional and personal lives with so many happy memories made there.
As the interior makeover was indeed comprehensive, the best way to detail the updates is to break down it down by each area.
So we begin with the most dramatic change of all. The sunroom. We were thrilled to bring our friends at WPS Paint and Decorating Center into the project by replacing the dated existing wallpaper with a more eye-catching and sophisticated design.
But before the beautiful wallcovering could go up, the prep work was crucial. Benny B's Painting had to remove the old wallpaper and meticulously prepare the walls for the new installation. Setting it all off are fresh coats of Benjamin Moore's Super White (OC-152) ceiling, trim and door paint and a subtle upgrade to the antique radiator covers with White River (1499).
P.S. A huge dose of appreciation goes to the members of the Town of Bel Air's DPW, who so carefully removed and reinstalled that gorgeous, and extremely heavy, antique mirror!
